Couples & Family Summer Shoot

Combining a couples and family shoot into one worked out perfectly in so many ways for this family. First of all they were absolutely adorable! We started off the session exploring an old campground style bridge crossing a little creek. After having their youngest daughter warm up to me we got her to trade out her fruit snack for a little flower and after that was a success, I was on her good side (;

Next we wandered to a clear spot next to the creek where the sun was just breaking so perfectly through the trees and I had the family get cozy together on a blanket in the tall grass. Then we let the girls wander and explore the nearby flowers while I got some dreamy shots of their parents and soon to be newly weds!!

We continued wandering through the ravine switching between more family shots and couples, which allowed the girls especially the two year old to not get fussy with us. One of my favorite moments was when I told Jake to pick up his fiance over his shoulder and twirl her around - I did not expect him to spin so fast, but the giggling ensued and it was such a perfect moment to capture their goofy relationship.

I had such an amazing evening with these four and I cannot wait to see them finally get to tie the knot with each other soon!
