Gavin and Maddy’s wedding at the beautiful Silvertip Resort in Canmore was everything they dreamed it would be—small, intimate, and filled with the people they love most. The day began in a unique way, with the couple waking up together and celebrating by popping a bottle of champagne before heading off to separate locations to get ready. Their anticipation grew as they prepared to see each other again for a private first look.
Their first look was one of the most emotional and meaningful parts of the day. Gavin and Maddy shared their private vows during this quiet moment, away from the excitement of the ceremony. It was deeply sentimental, and you could feel how much they cherished this time together, soaking in the significance of the moment.
Before the ceremony, we captured beautiful bridal photos, allowing them to enjoy extra time with each other before meeting their guests. One fun and touching moment was when both Gavin and Maddy had their parents secure their boutonnieres and corsages, adding a personal touch to the preparation. With a harp player setting the tone, the ceremony began—but not without a little laugh. Maddy accidentally forgot her bouquet and had to walk down the aisle twice, giving her two chances for a grand entrance!

They used dirt from the first home they built together, symbolizing the growth of their love alongside the growth of the tree—such a beautiful, symbolic gesture. As golden hour arrived, we stole away for some stunning photos overlooking the golf course, with the mountains in the background. The view was absolutely breathtaking and gave them a quiet moment together before heading back inside for speeches, cake cutting, and some fun parent dances.
After a quick dress change, it was time to party. The night ended with everyone on the dance floor, celebrating Gavin and Maddy’s love with joy and laughter. It was the perfect ending to an intimate, love-filled day.
