Wild horses golden hour couples shoot
When Brooke reached out to me and explained that she wanted to take photos out at Layton’s family farm I was over the moon excited.
She told me about her vision to include their wild horses in the shoot, and we were both so stoked to put the idea in action. Obviously wild horses are a lot different than trained ones, so we prepared ourselves to just be able to go with the flow and move with the horses and see how it turned out.
On the day of the shoot, we met up and drove out to the meadow where the horses were hanging out and brought along a bucket of grain to help draw them in towards us. The sun was slowly starting to set over the hill behind them as we got into the groove of shooting and it honestly felt like we were in a movie. Layton of course packed some brews for them to sip on throughout our shoot and we had such a fun and laid back time together in the golden hour glow.
I honestly couldn’t have been happier with how the shoot went and the horses just added the most incredible sense of wild and adventure to the photos. It was so evident that these two had such a slow steady love for each other, and I am so excited to see what the future holds for them. It was a surreal experience for me to have the privilege to capture such a rare occasion.
